THREE DIGITAL SHORTS IN COMPETITION AT MID ULSTER FILM FESTIVAL 2nd April 2009 CHAINS, HAPPY AS LARRY AND RIP AND THE PREACHER have all been selected to feature in the short film competition at the Mid Ulster Film Festival. The three Digital Short Films featuring are:
CHAINS A day in the life of Joanne, a little girl obsessed with Houdini and perfecting the ultimate escape. Writer/Director: Alanna Riddell
HAPPY AS LARRY When Larry is officially named the Happiest Man in the World, he has no idea the effect that fame will have on his life. Writer: Dave Kinghan Director: Brian Philip Davis RIP AND THE PREACHER A fire and brimstone street preacher is confronted by an armed and fiercely angry young street hood. Within seconds the conflict escalates out of control and the preachers strongly proclaimed faith is put to the ultimate test Writer: Mark Jordan Director: Michael Lennox The films were produced by Villi Ragnarsson of Red Ray Films and funded by the UK Film Council and Northern Ireland Screen.
