DIGITAL SHORT FILMS IN COMPETITION AT BELFAST FILM FESTIVAL

The four Digital Shorts films have been selected to be screened in competition at the Jameson Short Film Competition in April 2009. The four films will screen at the Queens Film Theatre, Belfast in Programmes 2 &3.

The Digital Short Films are:

CHAINS

A day in the life of Joanne, a little girl obsessed with Houdini and perfecting the ultimate escape.

HAPPY AS LARRY

When Larry is officially named the Happiest Man in the World, he has no idea the effect that fame will have on his life.

 LONELY HEARTS INTERRUPTED   

A woman sifting through the remains of her life after a bitter divorce finds solace in a quirky next door neighbour and his zest for companionship.

Writer/Director: Tanya Andrews

RIP AND THE PREACHER

A fire and brimstone street preacher is confronted by an armed and fiercely angry young street hood. Within seconds the conflict escalates out of control and the preachers strongly proclaimed faith is put to the ultimate test.

The films were produced by Villi Ragnarsson of Red Ray Films and funded by the UK Film Council and Northern Ireland Screen.
